Why goalkeepers shouldn't be too quick to celebrate, part II
Back in September, we saw FAR Rabat goalkeeper Khalid Askri celebrate a little too quick after he thought he successfully blocked a penalty kick, only to have it spin into the net as he patted his chest. This might be even funnier.
During another penalty shootout, the goalkeeper in this clip immediately started pumping his fists and jogging away from the goal after the shooter pounded the ball off the crossbar. The ball shot straight up into the sky and when it came back down, it took a big bounce into the top of the net. When the keeper stopped celebrating and turned around, he saw the ball in the goal and put it all together, but it was a little too late.
Unlike Askri, however, this goalkeeper apparently had a bit of good luck on his side. According to the YouTube user who uploaded the video, his team ended up winning anyway.
