The life of a WAG is very very very difficult

Jessica Lawlor, the 24-year-old girlfriend of Man City's Stephen Ireland, would like you to know that the life of a WAG isn't nearly as perfect as might think it is. I mean, it's definitely pretty amazing and laced with sunshine and lollipops. But perfect? Hardly. She tells the Sun, probably while making an exaggerated frowny face:

"I think the whole WAG thing is a bit ridiculous.

"It's started to get used as a harsh term, they say if you're a WAG you do nothing or just go shopping all the time and that's not the case at all."

Exactly. Totally ridiculous. The shops are only open so many hours a day -- everyone knows that -- so it's actually a combination of shopping and nothing, not just one or the other. Or is it?

"My day starts at 7am doing the school runs. We don't have a nanny so there are three children to look after.

"When people see the cars and house they say you have an easy life, but any mother of three young kids will know that in itself is not an easy job — money doesn't change that."

Oh, the cruel rigors of WAG life! What kind of world do we live in where the wives and girlfriends of famous, unimaginably wealthy footballers are literally forced by the laws of society and basic human decency to care for their own children (if they choose not to hire a nanny, which they can easily afford)?! The horror!

Well, at least Jessica has the £264,000 red and white Bentley with personalized "To Jess Love From Stephen" headrests that Ireland gave her for her birthday last year. Jessica went on to say that the car (which I'm assuming caused the dealer to die from hysterical laughter after Ireland forked over the dough for it) is "actually quite classy."

Yes, Jessica. That car is as classy as your life is difficult.
