Juventus manager Conte brought out the holy water against Chievo

With the score against Chievo even at 0-0 at the start of the second half, Juventus manager Antonio Conte pulled out a small bottle of holy water and said a prayer on the touchline. Conte was likely praying his side would retain its undefeated record and place atop the Serie A table.

So how did the second half go? Well, Juventus failed to score for the first time this season. But Chievo didn't score either, allowing Juve to keep that undefeated record and place atop the table, along with Udinese.

Conte isn't the first Italian manager to use holy water against his opponents, though. In 2002, Giovanni Trapattoni carried a bottle of it with him during Italian national team matches. Italy was knocked out of the World Cup in a very controversial round of 16 match against co-hosts South Korea.
