David Beckham will sell you thermal underwear for Valentine’s Day

We at DT always assumed that David Beckham wears a bright red onesie (the kind with a butt flap) when he retires to his chamber for sleepy time, but apparently this isn't the case. Today the L.A. Galaxy star has revealed he is more inclined to sport thermal underwear during those chilly California nights:

"I sometimes wear [long johns] to go to sleep. They're very cool."

Never one to miss a marketing opportunity — or an underwear-based photoshoot — Beckham will be releasing his own line of undies in time for next Valentine's Day, which will include his beloved thermals. Because nothing says Valentine's Day quite like thermal underwear.

Asked whether the new garments were his own designs, based on things that he likes to wear, he said:

"The underwear is totally my designs, things that I like to wear."

The new range sounds promising, but surely its popularity won't surpass Lionel Messi's sexy underwear collection...
