Best 5 Places to Rent Snowmobiles in New Hampshire

Looking for the best places to rent a snowmobile while in New Hampshire? I know of five rental places that I can recommend. Each has reasonable rates, good service and is located near excellent snowmobiling trails.

Here they are:

1. SledVentures

SledVentures is located off US Route 3 in Lincoln near both Loon and Cannon Mountains. What I like about it is that you have the option of renting a snowmobile and going it on your own or booking a guided snowmobiling trip. Rates start at $89 per person. If you do decide to rent one without a guide, you'll need to fork over a $1,000 deposit and produce a valid driver's license. Hours of operation vary.

2. Trailside Rentals and Sales

Trailside Rentals and Sales is located on Main Street in Pittsburg and tends to be a popular rental spot. It is also close to the Murphy's Dam Trail that is maintained by the Pittsburg Ridge Runners. You'll want to reserve your snowmobile as far in advance as possible. An advance deposit is required to do so and you can make your reservations online. Prices start at $120 for four hours. It is open daily from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

3. Better Life Snowmobile Tours and Rentals

The Better Life Snowmobile Tours and Rentals is located on US Route 302 in Bartlett. It is also near the White Mountains Trail and Bear Mountain. Rental prices start at $175. You'll need to remit a $750 deposit per snowmobile, as well as presenting your driver's license. There is also a gas fee to contend with. Guided snowmobiling tours are an option as well. Tour prices start at $50 per person. It is open daily.

4. Northern Extremes Snowmobiling

Northern Extremes Snowmobiling has two locations. One is on US Route 302 in Barlett and the other is on Main Street in Bretton Woods. The Bretton Woods location is near the snowmobiling trails around Mount Washington. Rental prices start at $55 per person, per hour. You must be 21 years of age to take a snowmobile out on your own. It is open daily and guided tours are also available.

5. Northeast Snowmobile Rentals

Northeast Snowmobile Rentals is located on Main Street in Gorham. There are trails nearby that are maintained by the Presidential Range Riders. Rental prices start at $55 per hour and guided trip prices start at $95 per person. Hours of operation vary, and you must be 18 years of age or older to take a snowmobile out on your own.
