Top 5 Snowboarding Gloves for Freestyle Guys
Need help deciding on men's snowboarding gloves? When it comes to shopping for my family of freestyle-loving snowboarders, there are a few features that I look for. I tend to gravitate toward snowboarding gloves that have removable liners, goggle wipes, wrist cinches and gauntlet straps. I also want an outer material that is both abrasion resistant and waterproof. In my opinion, those types of gloves are more versatile and offer better protection.
Here are my picks for the top five:
1. Burton Gore-Tex 3-in-1 Over Gloves
The Burton Gore-Tex 3-in-1 men's snowboarding over gloves have all of my favorite features. I especially like the low bulk Thermacore insulation and the heater vent pocket where I can sneak in a hand warmer on brutally cold days. You can purchase a pair online for anywhere from $50 to $65.
2. Dakine Titan Gore-Tex 3-in-1
The Dakine Titan Gore-Tex 3-in-1 men's snowboarding gloves also have all the features I love, along with an elongated over-the-cuff gauntlet and an exterior, sealable pocket to store Chapstick and a spare goggles wipe in. Buying a pair online will set you back $65, but in my opinion, it is well worth it.
3. North Face Etip Facet Under Gloves
The North Face Etip Facet under gloves may be missing the goggles wipe, but they do have something worthy of a spot on the list. In addition to the removable lining and durable exterior, it is touch screen compatible. The kids loved the capability of using their cell phones without having to remove their gloves. The under-jacket cuff gaskets are a plus too. Be prepared to pay a hefty price for the extra convenience. A pair will set you back $75 when purchased online.
4. Spyder Men's Under Web Gore-Tex
The Spyder Men's Under Web Gore-Tex gloves are one of my favorite for several reasons. They have a drawn out under the cuff gauntlet and Velcro adjusted cuffs with elastic that help to keep the snow from getting in, and they're waterproof breathable. The integrated goggle wipe, sealable pocket and goat skin leather palms are also a nice touch. The kids liked the stylish spider web design and removable leash too. Be warned, though, you'll have a hard time finding a pair online priced under $75.
5. Swany Men's X-Change
Swany Men's X-Change snowboarding gloves don't have all the features I adore. They do have one heck of a lock down gauntlet cuff, solid insulation, reinforced palms and a sealable exterior pocket worth cheering about if you can stomach the $85 online price tag.
My family enjoys winter sports and I have a history of buying winter sports apparel.
