Australia’s Evans to ride for BMC Racing Team
PARIS, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Australian world champion Cadel Evans has agreed to ride for the American BMC Racing Team, two days after ending his five-year association with Belgian team Silence Lotto.
“The BMC Racing Team announced the signing of current world road race champion Cadel Evans to a three-year contract,” BMC said in a statement on Monday.
“This partnership will create mutually beneficial opportunities for both the current world champion as well as the BMC Racing Team.”
The 32-year-old Evans won the world road race title in Switzerland at the end of September and has twice finished second in the Tour de France. (Reporting by Julien Pretot; Editing by John O’Brien; To query or comment on this story email sportsfeedback@thomsonreuters.com)

I don't understand this move at all. He should have just stayed with his old team; at least they have a ProTour license and are guaranteed entry into the Grand Tours.

To 'Kurt S'...the team didn not seem supportive from management all the way down to the riders. Cadel got sick too, he is human!!
See what Cadel did in the Worlds with a hard working Aussie team!
Good luck to him - why not change when you are having a win!
