Reports: Stars to sign RW Perry to one-year deal

The Dallas Stars will sign former Anaheim Ducks star Corey Perry to a one-year deal, according to multiple reports.

TSN reported the contract is worth $1.5 million plus performance incentives that could add up to $2 million more.

The San Jose Sharks and Tampa Bay Lightning reportedly were interested in Perry.

The Ducks bought out the final two year of the right winger's contract on June 19, ending the 14-year Anaheim career of Perry, who won the Hart Memorial Trophy in 2011 as the league's Most Valuable Player.

Perry, 34, had two years and $12 million remaining on an eight-year contract, which included a no-trade clause. He is coming off the least productive season of his career, as he managed just six goals and four assists while missing 51 games because of knee surgery.
