Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson went down Sunday with an apparent ankle injury against the Baltimore Ravens and was carted off the field.

The injury happened early in the second quarter, when Peterson caught a swing pass from Matt Cassel in the flat. After Peterson was tackled near the sideline by Ravens rookie linebacker Arthur Brown, Peterson fumbled the ball out of bounds and immediately fell to the snowy ground in writhing pain.
