Activists Rally In Favor Of Same Sex Marriage In Chicago

CHICAGO, IL - MARCH 25: Gay rights activist rally in support of gay marriage March 25, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois. The Supreme Court will hear arguments this week in two cases that could determine if states or the federal government can treat same-sex couples and those of the opposite sex differently when recognizing a marriage. The Illinois Senate has approved legislation that will legalize same-sex marriage in the state but it still has to be approved by the Illinois House and signed by Governor Pat Quinn, who has said he supports the legislation. If passed Illinois would become the tenth state to allow same-sex marriage. Thirty states have defined marriage as a union between a man and a woman. (Photo by Scott Olson/Getty Images)
