A year ago Rafael Nadal took out No. 1 Novak Djokovic 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 to win the 2013 U.S. Open.

Nadal announced that he will not be competing in the tournament this year. He will miss the U.S. Open for the second time in three years; he missed it in 2012 with his knee problems.o.
