Most players on list of fastest 40-yard dash times at scouting combine have struggled to find NFL success

Chris Johnson set the combine record for the 40-yard dash at 4.24 seconds in 2008. RB prospect Dri Archer threatened to break CJ2K's mark at the 2014 combine, but fell two hundredths of a second short of history. It remains to be seen if Archer will stick around in the NFL, but Johnson has been the exception as most of the top performers in the 40 haven't been able to parlay that into a successful career.

With the 2014 combine over, we examine the 10 fastest recorded times since electronic timing started in 1999 and how the careers of those players panned out. The Raiders show they love to draft speed, taking five of the 12 players on the list.
