File In this Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 file photo Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius stands inside the court as a police officer looks on during his bail hearing at the magistrate court in Pretoria, South Africa. Pistorius will defend himself against a charge of premeditated murder in the slaying of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, by arguing he believed he was acting lawfully and in self-denense when he fired four shots through a bathroom door in his home with his licensed 9mm handgun, criminal and firearm experts say, even though the Olympic athlete concedes now that he made a deadly error. transformed the double-amputee Olympian from a smiling global

convicted.
