While we have no doubt that it takes a great deal of athletic ability to perform their synchronized maneuvers, the combination of gelatin, nose clips, excessive makeup and rigid moves can sometimes give these Olympic swimmers a distractingly creepy, 'killer dolls from the black lagoon' appearance.
