Beach volleyball dress code

Is

2012 the year to say goodbye to the Olympic bikini? Not necessarily, but a

new rule introduced for the London Games allows beach volleyball athletes to

cover up from the tiny swimwear. After Saturday’s preliminaries, Australia was the

only nation to be covered from shoulder to ankle, while its American opponents boasted red bikini bottoms with covered torsos. Nations like Germany, Brazil, and China participated with the skimpy beach outfit. -- By Paul Rosales
