Gary Carter (April 8, 1954-Feb. 16, 2012) --
An 11-time All-Star, Carter's most famous for starting the two-out rally in the 10th inning of Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. He singled, the New York Mets rallied to score three runs and send the Series to a Game 7 where they won, adding another layer of misery to the Boston Red Sox organization. Carter played 21 seasons and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2003. He died of brain cancer.
