  • Rudy Gay has 'no idea' what the Sacramento Kings are doing

Rudy Gay’s no stranger to trade rumors. The latest round of rumors came a couple of weeks back courtesy of ESPN.com’s Marc Stein, who reported that the Sacramento Kings “are actively seeking to move Gay as well as big man Kosta Koufos and guard Ben McLemore” as they look to shuffle up their roster in pursuit of better results — like, say, a .500 record and outside shot at the West’s No. 8 seed — for what feels like the umpteenth year in a row.

  • Matt Kenseth turns in a ‘respectable Sunday’ with second-place finish

Matt Kenseth was in position to win his first race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon, but he couldn’t keep up with teammate Kyle Busch. As Busch drove away to his second consecutive Brickyard win, it was Kenseth who followed him across the finish line. Although Joe Gibbs Racing had brought a fleet of fast cars, Kenseth was unable to overtake Busch for the race lead. “It didn’t seem like it,” Kenseth said of whether he had anything for Busch. “We never got in front of him all day, and the clean air is always really big here.” Sunday was the third time in 17 Indianapolis starts that Kenseth finished second. More importantly, it was a nice recovery for the No. 20 Dollar General

I imagine you are like most of the guys in the league and try not to pay attention to that stuff, but do you pay attention to trade rumors and does it bother you? I mean it’s been pretty loud as of late so it’s hard not to pay attention to it. Kimi Raikkonen has captured the vote for F1’s Driver of the Day award, following his efforts to come from 14th to sixth place in Sunday’s Hungarian Grand Prix, and with the fastest lap of the race in the process. The Ferrari driver missed Q3 for the first time all season but atoned nicely in the race at a track where passing is usually at a premium. Raikkonen’s battle with Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen was one of the race highlights, the Dutchman defending aggressively – perhaps too much so – against Raikkonen’s advances. But with no penalty assessed and no warning issued, Verstappen ended ahead in the battle for fifth. “I think it was very questionable, but it’s not my decision to decide,”

    5. Mets acquire Piazza from Marlins The Mets were at a pivotal point, slightly above .500, in second place, and looking strong enough to float, but too weak to hang in a pennant race. Piazza instantly changed the team dynamic and made them legit. It was such a big deal, I didn't believe the trade happened until I actually saw him in uniform May 23, 1998. It was a gorgeous Memorial Day, with crisp blue skies and nearly 35,000 fans standing in a ballpark that had grown comfortable with silence. Piazza had an RBI double that day. His presence alone, his slow walk to the plate perked up fans, gave us strength and made the Mets look and feel like contenders again... 4. Piazza re-signs with the Mets
