Rodney007: Most people in the US had nothing to do with slavery, never owned a slave or were involved in that part of US history. No one alive today was a slave, ever had a slave parent or sibling. As a first generation American who has served in the US military, prospered from hard work and personal sacrifice, and who has had other family members who have given their all for the United States, you now ask people to pay for something they have never done to people who have never been slaves? Does that make even the tiniest bit of rational sense? Let's ask the Romans to pay for throwing Christians to the lions or a myriad of other peoples to pay for situations where some may have been abused hundreds of years ago. The US has done many things for blacks which don't seem to be appreciated. The demands continue for more, and more and more until now we see the result of the appreciation in the rejection of respect for our Nation and its flag. Enough.
