Major League Baseball has released the list of top-selling jerseys from the first half of the 2013 season. Who's at the top of the list? Well, a reigning MVP, followed by an undisputed legend of the game. But what is perhaps more interesting is how many young players having breakthrough seasons made the list — Manny Machado, Matt Harvey, Yasiel Puig, etc. Puig made it despite only being in the league since June 3.
Overall, 18 of the top 20 jersey sellers are age 30 or younger. Fourteen of them will also play in Tuesday's All-Star Game. The team with the most players represented is the Dodgers, who have four top jerseys. This these sales figures are based on jerseys sold at mlb.com/shop. — Mike Oz, Big League Stew
