Canada's Eugenie Bouchard has advanced to the semifinals of the Australian Open after defeating Ana Ivanovic of Serbia 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 in their quarter-final match. Bouchard is the first Canadian to reach the semifinals of a Grand Slam tennis event since Carling Bassett made it to the Final Four of the U.S. Open in 1984. The 30th-seeded Bouchard will play No. 4 seed Li Na of China in the semifinal.
