anon_: The thing is.. BLM does have a case that black people are more likely to be shot by police than white people.. And others.. in situations of similar circumstance. I know they see the institution as racist which Is why they could care less that the officer is black. The problem is, however, they intentionally fail to recognize that each case is unique.. And just because a black man was shot by police, doesn't automatically mean ..he didn't deserve to be. As a white man, I'm absolutely certain, that if I brandished a firearm next to a school and ignored police orders to drop it.. I wouldn't be typing this message right now, no matter what the officers race who shot me. Often it's not what you're saying but how you're saying it which determines how well your message is being recieved. BLM has encouraged violence and looting, and that isn't going to make many of the types of sympathizers needed to promote the change they seek. Dr Martin Luther King was a masterful speaker, and never once accepted that violence was needed to succeed in advancing freedom for people of color. Nobody will be honoring the works of BLM .. 50 years from now.
