The Paris-Roubaix - one of the world's oldest cycling races - will take place on Sunday. 2013 will be the 111th edition of the race, and the tenth race of the 2013 UCI World Tour. The route itself is largely untouched from 2012 with 27 cobbled sectors defining the 254 kilometre course. Norwegian cyclist Thor Hushov joined team BMC in 2012 but endured a season hampered by injury and illness. His previous best in the Paris-Roubaix is an eighth place from 2011 - though he won the under-23 version of the race before turning professional - and while he concedes that Fabian Cancellara is the favourite on Sunday, he is hopeful of springing a surprise on the Italian. He believes that the race lives up to it's reputation as one of the toughest in the world, and feels that for a rider to be successful, everything must be in his favour. Team mate Taylor Phinney, the young American, admits that the Paris-Roubaix is his favourite race and describes as the one day equivalent of the Tour de France. A lingering knee injury caused him to miss the Tour of Flanders six days ago as a precaution, and he hopes that he will be able to produce a strong performance in what he describes as his "biggest opportunity" to shine on a large stage.
