Baseball Hall of Fame 2013 ballot breakdown

Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Kaduk and Dave Brown of Big League Stew look at the 22 worthy players from the National Baseball Hall of Fame's 2013 class and assess their chances of being elected on this ballot. The inductees will be announced Wednesday.

BBTF projections come from BaseballThinkFactory.org and are based on 105 ballots that already have been revealed by their voters.

Craig Biggio

The term “compiler” comes up sometimes when talking about Biggio, probably because he only eclipsed 3,000 career hits at age 41, at least a couple of years after he probably should have stopped playing. This does a huge disservice to a career that was consistent and dominant at its peak. Not many second basemen have nearly 300 home runs and few players of any kind have at least 400 stolen bases. – DB
