Baseball Hall of Fame 2013 ballot breakdown

Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Kaduk and Dave Brown of Big League Stew look at the 22 worthy players from the National Baseball Hall of Fame's 2013 class and assess their chances of being elected on this ballot. The inductees will be announced Wednesday.

Fred McGriff

A player with a memorable, even unique swing. Skinny as a rail. Great eye at the plate. McGriff was one of those young guys the Yankees let get away before the front office reform of the 1990s. He was part of the trade that helped the Blue Jays win two World Series (though McGriff was one of the guys traded). Many of his numbers are impressive, especially 493 homers. He’s just not quite Cooperstown. – DB
