Check out the top quarterback, running back and receiver prospects in this year's class based off Shutdown Corner's top 50 list heading into the combine.
Stack: Chairman Obama is using Russia as a scapegoat to cover for regressive socialist democrat Ameriphobe voter fraud. The Project Veritas videos show multiple regressive socialist democrat Ameriphobe operatives bragging about how they have rigged elections in the past and how they are rigging this one for Killery. There is no way the most hated woman in America, albeit the world, can win this election and the regressive socialist democrat Ameriphobes know it. Besides, We, the American people don't want any more Saul Alinsky disciples near our White House. Chairman Obama has done enough damage to our country - it's time for a real American in the White House to fix what Chairman Obama has done to our nation, our constitution, our economy and our society.
Daddy-to-be Russell Wilson wasn’t thrilled to walk off the field after Sunday’s strange 6-6 tie with the Arizona Cardinals. You kick one field goal,” Wilson told reporters in Arizona. “You can’t do anything else but a field goal.
Hate on Tim Tebow all you want, but there’s no denying he’s one of the most motivational guys in sports — period. On Tuesday he appeared with Stephen A. Smith on First Take and dropped the best speech you’ll hear all week. When he was criticized for taking a long shot at making an MLB roster, Tebow dropped the hammer.
The Bruins jumped out to an early lead, but couldn't hold on as the Rangers stormed back in the final two periods with five unanswered goals. Led by Brandon Pirri, the Rangers defeated the struggling Bruins 5-2.
The injuries affecting the Boston Bruins isn’t only limited to their crease. Aside from being without their top two goaltenders they were also missing Frank Vatrano, Kevan Miller and David Backes. Backes is the newest member of the Bruins’ injured list and his situation was clarified a bit by the team on Wednesday morning.
The Chicago Cubs turned in a disappointing performance during their 6-0 loss to the Cleveland Indians in Game 1 of the World Series. Corey Kluber and the Indians’ big, bad bullpen completely dominated Chicago’s bats, giving up just seven hits over nine shutout innings. While that would normally be good news to the people of Cleveland, one local group seemed a bit concerned about the Cubs’ offensive struggles in Game 1. The Cubs’ bats no-showed so hard that the Cleveland police department tweeted that they filed a missing persons report for them.
Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill. Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt. Rumors for the Day: Goldberg is expected to headline the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2017. Vince McMahon reportedly told current talent (and any former employees who asked him) to not respond to media inquiries about WWE Hall of Famer and
As the saying goes, “It’s never too late to admit when you’re wrong.” In the NFL though, it’s the teams that can recognize a mistake the quickest that have the most success. Whether it’s a high-priced free agent, a top draft selection or a superstar past his prime, sometimes cutting bait is in the long-term best interest of the franchise. With that in mind, let’s look at five players whose respective franchises would benefit from parting ways this offseason. Cutler is one of the top 20 quarterbacks in the NFL. And with the right roster he’s capable of winning a Super Bowl. Both of those statements can be true and not contradict that it makes sense for the Bears to part ways with the man who has
Kyle Busch will only be able to make 10 Xfinity Series starts in 2017. A rule limiting Sprint Cup drivers in NASCAR’s No. 2 and No. 3 series is official. NASCAR said Wednesday that Cup drivers with five years full-time experience in the series will be limited to 10 Xfinity races and seven Camping World Truck Series races a season starting in 2017.
LeBron James let the Knicks know early in the third quarter he was done messing around. “When this is over and that banner goes up, there’s only one thing left to do,” said Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert after receiving his 2016 NBA championship ring from Commissioner Adam Silver at center court of Quicken Loans Arena. The long journey to back-to-back titles begins with a single step, one the Cavs took confidently on Tuesday night, as LeBron James and Kyrie Irving put the hammer down on the visiting New York Knicks in the third quarter to open the 2016-17 NBA season with a 117-88 victory.

NBCSN will continue its coverage of the 2016-17 campaign tonight when the New York Rangers host the Boston Bruins at 8:00 p.m. ET. If you want to watch the game online, you can do so here. The Boston Bruins have been without starting goalie Tuukka Rask (lower body) for two games now and things haven’t gone well. When Rask is between the pipes, Boston is 3-0-0, but when he’s not, they’re 0-3-0. They dropped Saturday night’s game to the Montreal Canadiens with Anton Khudobin in goal and with him on the shelf too, the Bruins were dismantled 5-0 by the Minnesota Wild last night. The Bruins turned to former first rounder Malcolm Subban yesterday and he lasted a little more than 30 minutes before being
And Chicago Cubs fans are kind of licking their wounds this morning after last night's big defeat to the Indians but still. Just getting to the World Series has been a lifetime wait for many cubs fans. But for true of those fans it's only been four months Jacqueline Driscoll of our station in Springfield Illinois has a story. It's the curse of the Billy goat that many cubs fans blame for their set any one year long drought but maybe they just needed a good luck charm. Or to. As a superstitious cubs fan. Moon I'll put some correlation there. Clark and Addison McFarland recognize the names any good cubs fan will it at C intersection where Wrigley Field stands he. Scott Clark Addison's dad says
World Series fever is gripping Cleveland, but an American Indian organization based in Cleveland is calling for protest. Of course such protests have taken place for years, with the Cleveland American Indian Movement and others referring to Chief Wahoo as a “symbol of genocide” while simultaneously noting its similarity to blackface “Sambo” characters and other racist imagery that has long since been banished from polite society. I’m assuming that the protesters are, as they usually are, being ignored by Indians fans as they make their way to the gates of Progressive Field. Fans like this one. Meanwhile, Wahoo remains, institutionalized by the Cleveland Indians and Major League Baseball in ways
Charlie Strong's time at Texas is coming to an end. The former UofL head coach who left the Derby City at the beginning of 2014 to try his hand at leading one of the richest and most powerful programs in college football has gone just 14-18 in two and-a-half seasons in Austin, and is in danger of failing to lead Texas to a bowl game for a second straight year. While Louisville fans will forever be indebted to Strong for the job he did getting the Cardinals back on their feet following the disaster that was the Steve Kragthorpe era, there is an "I told you so" element to the saga we're all watching unfold in Austin. Life has been unkind over the last handful of decades to the coaches who have enjoyed success at Louisville, but viewed the program as a stepping stone to something bigger and better.
A proposed fight between Georges St-Pierre and Michael Bisping at UFC 206 was quickly shot down by GSP. For a moment, there appeared to be a light at the end of the tunnel in the ongoing battle between Georges St-Pierre and the UFC. After St-Pierre declared himself as a free agent, the UFC drew their line in the sand and stated that the former champion was still under contract.
The Atlanta Hawks did as they had to. Fourth-year guard Dennis Schröder was signed to a four-year, $70 million contract extension on Wednesday, ESPN’s Marc Stein and Zach Lowe were the first to break the news. The move came on the eve of Schröder’s debut as a (hoped-for) season-long starter as Atlanta starting point guard, with the Hawks opening their 2016-17 campaign at home against Washington on Thursday night.
Juan Mata scored the winning goal for Manchester United in the 54th minute. For an October game in the lamentably irrelevant League Cup, now for some reason renamed as the English Football League Cup, this one actually mattered. Because it was a Manchester derby, of course.
In the last seven days, I've talked to a handful of Mets insiders, none of whom believe Tim Tebow will be with the team next spring in Port St. Lucie. I've heard several different reasons behind their thinking. But, in the end, everyone agreed that -- if he's still with the organization -- he's more likely to show up in St. Lucie when minor-league camp starts, as opposed to when big leaguers arrive in February. This is good news ... if you ask me. It's nothing against Tebow, who has every right to pursue a career in baseball. It's just, the Mets have real goals, and real business at hand, as they try to right their ship and get back to the World Series. I expect Matt Harvey, Jacob deGrom, Noah
Drag racing has been one of the biggest motorsport passions of my life. Ever since the first time I went to the now-defunct U.S. 30 Dragstrip in northwest Indiana – with the famous loud and echoing radio liner, “Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, at beautiful U.S. 30 Dragstrip, where the GREAT ONES Runnnnnnn!” – in the early 1970s, I’ve been a big fan of the quarter-mile. (By the way, for those in the Midwest who remember U.S. 30, which closed nearly 30 years ago, efforts are under way to bring it back. But I digress.) As a reporter, I’ve covered drag racing since the early 1980s. I still get as excited today following the sport as I did back then. But … and you probably figured a but was coming. While
The Edmonton Oilers just keep on winning. Thanks to their 4-1 win over the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night, the Oilers are now 6-1-0 through their first seven games, have the best record in the Western Conference, and the second best record in the NHL behind only the Montreal Canadiens. To find the last time the Oilers won six of their first seven games, you have to go all the way back to the 1985-86 season when Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Jari Kurri, and Paul Coffey still played for them and their dynasty was just starting to take shape. Their best start since then was a 5-1-1 start during the 2000-01 season. The recipe on Wednesday was similar to the one we have seen from the Oilers
The Tennessee Titans offense has gotten good production from several wide receivers, but none of them has produced on a week-to-week basis. Rishard Matthews is a good example as he has been a solid option in the passing game with 23 grabs for 319 yards and two scores this season. However, he has failed to hit the 100-yard mark in a game. Matthews has scored in two of the past three games and done just enough to stay fantasy-relevant. The Titans hope that continues in Week 8 when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! ranks Matthews as the 51st-best wide receiver in Week 8. He faces a Jaguars defense allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to wide
Kyle Schwarber is a freak of nature, a hitter with the hand-eye coordination, explosiveness and guts to do what should be impossible. Now you know why the Cubs always believed Schwarber could help get them that championship parade down Michigan Avenue — and how the Cleveland Indians won’t just fade into history’s background as The Other Team. “No, not right now,” Schwarber said.
The Anaheim Ducks have finally signed their restricted free-agent defenseman – and, well, best defenseman – Hampus Lindholm to a six-year contract extension with an average annual value of $5.25 million, according to Bob McKenzie. Lindholm, 22, has played 236 NHL games and has 23 goals and 69 assists. Lindholm wasn’t eligible for salary arbitration, so playing hardball was the only effective tactic he and agent Claude Lemieux had.
