Nicole Davis Biography
Likely the starting libero for a second consecutive Olympics for the U.S., Davis is a steadying influence as one of the best diggers in the world. She played well in helping the squad win its third straight FIVB World Grand Prix title this summer, averaging 3.07 digs per set in 12 matches - she missed the final two with a strained calf. Davis averaged 3.03 digs per set over 11 matches as the U.S. posted a runner-up finish at the 2011 World Cup that secured the team’s spot in the London Games. At the 2008 Olympics, Davis ranked sixth among all players with 2.88 digs per set. She was the first foreign-born libero to play in the Turkish league with Fenerbache in 2007. Outside of volleyball, Davis has a black belt in martial arts.
