You never hear basketball players who grew up POOR complain about endorsements or having to wear uniforms. That's because they act like PROFESSIONALS. Something Nate Holland will never understand.

Man, I cannot believe all you guys ripping on this guy... So he has a gripe about the skinny pants,Whatever. Lets take it back a little bit...Remember when in snowboarding what trying to gain a foothold on local hills(Mtn's)? Remember when a lot of ski areas didn't even allow snowboarding?.. Imagine that.. It wasn't even that long ago to, in the late 80's there were less then 100 places you could ride. In 1990 only 450 or so ski area allow snowboarding...you guys couldn't even shred on the slopes that are now the home of super pipes and massive terrain parks...Snowboarding was a pioneer sport..full of individuality.. Anyone here know about early "Jibbing" on cut down boards... not to long ago there were 2 distinct styles of riders.. hard boot guys with cant plates who "euro carved" and raced tearing it up laying deep "c" shaped gouges in the hard pack and freestylers who Typically had baggy clothes who creatively interpreted the terrain features around the mountain.. Early boarder-cross events had dudes wearing leather motorcycle jackets and wallet chains....kinda cool slick @#$%.But.Seriously before you rail into this guy think about the evolution of the sport. Now Snowboarding is under the umbrella of elite athletics (Olympic medal sport) I believe it has lost a lot of its individuality and to some extent its soul. Remember Canadian snowboarder Ross Rebagliati busted for having THC/ POT in his system after winning a GOLD medal in snowboarding the first year it was a medal sport? Nate has a right to say what ever he wants.. Look I am not a fan of dudes or chicks (well I am a fan of chicks) showing their duofolds or @#$% crack while hucking.. but baggy pants are cool too. So what I am trying to say is that everyone has an opinion. and a lot of it is formed from your background. Nate is just coming from another direction then some of you guys... so cut him some slack. Oh yeah and By the way.. Sucks he didn't medal.
