Athlete Profile
- Considered one of the greatest biathletes in Olympic history.
- Dubbed the "King of Biathlon"
- Greatest career moment came at the last Olympics in North America in 2002 at Salt Lake City when he became the first biathlete to win gold medals in all four competitions _ the sprint, pursuit, individual and the relay event.
