Athlete Profile
- The first Canadian to win an Olympic medal in skeleton, Hollingsworth followed up a 2005-06 World Cup championship - a season in which she never finished lower than third - with a bronze in Turin. In 2010, she'll compete in her home country as one of the favorites for a gold. Hollingsworth also enters the Vancouver Games after claiming her second World Cup title in 2009-10. She earned medals in seven of eight races in that competition and finished first in two. She had four podium finishes and one win in the 2008-09 season and wound up seventh in the overall standings despite missing one race. She also finished sixth at last year's World Championships and was third in the 2007-08 World Cup. Hollingsworth was introduced to the sport by her cousin, two-time world champion Ryan Davenport, but almost quit after failing to qualify for the 2002 Olympic team.
