Women's Hockey is an Olympic event?I didn't know they even had women's hockey teams. Wow congrats to the winter Olympics for teaching me something new.

I'm reserving judgement on how I expect a woman hockey player to act.

Hockey takes very aggressive and outgoing players, so you should exspect aggressive and outgoing celebrations. They were pretty much alone so get over it and congrats to Canadian Womens Hockey Team. You did what could possibly be a once in a life time for most of you, so have a once in a life time celebration.

I don't think its a really big deal. It's not like they were getting wasted, its a celebratory drink and cigar. and Poulin is 18 but she's from Quebec, Here in Quebec we can legally drink at 18, she probably never even thought about the drinking age difference.

Good for them! I think I read that the "underage drinker" is like a month away from being legal. Besides, its not like they were drinking and driving or being obnoxious at the expense of others. They were in an otherwise empty arena. If the media wasnt there to capture every "unsavory" moment, no one would know anything about this. Kick the media out. They should be proud of themselves and if thats how they chose to celebrate a big moment, then let them!

And the pictures look much like after any football or other event, huge bottle of champagne, laughter, celebration and fun! Kudos to the team and you did the right thing. MAKE THE MEDIA LEAVE so as not to take pictures. What a double standard!!

Why has the media and the public become such prudes about celebrations. A good cigar and a beer, cognac or CHAMPAGNE, has always been a good way of celebrating. Are we entering into a new age of prohibition? And I see nothing wrong with an 18 year old having a beer! She is from Quebec and it is certainly legal. 18 is legal for most everything else, even getting shot in a war, so get a life and get over it. I'm sure she wasn't drinking a 6 pack there on the ice. Infact you will find that most places in the world the legal age is 18. With many only making 18 the age at which you can purchase but you may still have a drink if you are 16-17. America's puritanical attitudes are showing. How embarrassing.

I dont follow hockey at all, But I read when they said minors drinking and smoking after a win (GOLD) .
Listen they are trying to come up with something to @#$% at .. I say have anothr drink and smoke for GOD sakes you won the gold. Thats something big.Nothing wrong with a victory drink and smoke.
