Athlete Profile
- Winning an International Ski Federation race in Canada in 2007 and placing fifth overall on the World Cup circuit helped Robertson win the Neil Daffern award, an honor that recognizes up-and-coming snowboarders, and that's exactly what the 24-year-old Canadian is. The second-year national team member earned his first World Cup medal, a bronze, during a January 2009 event in Austria, then improved on that by claiming a silver medal the following month in a World Cup event in Vancouver. He won for the first time since 2007 in August, taking first place in an FIS event in Australia. Overall, he's finished in the top 10 nine times in snowboardcross races since 2007. Canada is a long shot to earn a men's snowboardcross medal in Vancouver, but Robertson should provide perhaps its best shot of finishing on the podium.
