- Enters the Olympics as the biggest star in women's cross-country skiing after winning two world championship titles and the overall World Cup last season
- Dominated this year's Tour de Ski and leads the overall World Cup
- A big favorite to win the opening 15-kilometer freestyle event and the 15K skiathlon pursuit
