Of course, It's understandable that he trusts his coach completely, because it's what we humans do. But sometimes we need follow our minds and hearts if we feel that the coach's instructions are wrong.

People who think they know someones character by the look of one.. dumb interview are seriously stupid and most of all arrogant. Most of you are all making big statements on how arrogant and spoiled kramer is but oh my god.. it takes one to know one apparently..

Initially, I thought the "stupid" remark, was a translation misunderstanding. However, during the interview with the Dutch reporter when he stated that it was "bulls#*!" Wow! Normally I don't judge, but in this case I will...
Sven, you have been awarded an exclusive Plushenko "Platinum" medal in sportsmanship. I'm sure no one will be asking you your name, country, and award received in this event. That performance was definitely memorable. God, I love the Olympics....nothing is guaranteed!

Are we all forgetting that this supposed interviewer said "Fine, i don't care?!"
You guys seriously need to get off of Sven's D*ck.
Sure, he has his way of talking to people and was it rude? Most definitely.
He has an ego...But don't come here posting like you guys are saints... I'm sure ya'll have commited simmiliar stuff.

The thing to do is to come around, and point at him saying KARMAAAAAA.
I'm sure he realizes what he did was wrong.. Do i think this was supposedly divine intervention to make him pay? No.

I think you guys need to look at yourselfs for a second and wonder how you would feel if someone came to you after something terrible (because thats what it is for an athelete) happened and pointed at you screaming "hahahah karmaa b*tch remember what you did before!?"

I think for those who are throwing eggs at him right now, should really look at the interview he gave to the NOS (dutch tv) and listen to how he talked about the incident that happend on the 10k.
He spoke like a grown up...and not like most of you guys are calling him, a kid.

Thank you and as we say it here in brabant.
Ge krijgt de groete uit brabant, KUT.

You are the winner in my books!
And yes the journalist was stupid to come unprepared; someone just had to let her know.
    Go Canada Go!

So many people take this guy's side talking about how the reporter's job is to know who she is talking to, blah, blah, blah. She was at the race, she watched him win the gold. There is no doubt she knows who the guy is. She was trying to get him to do a promo for the Olympics. Something NBC could show as a commercial. American athletes do them all the time. Kind of like "I'm going to Disney World!" after the Super Bowl. Do we really need someone to tell us that "Drew Brees and the Saints just won the Super Bowl?" No, we already know that, its a commercial. Thats what she was trying to do. If she didn't know who he was, do you think she got that lucky, as to blindly wander up to the gold medal winner?

This just begs someone to ask "Are you stupid?" This guy kind of deserved this after the way he acted towards the American journalist. Reading of his misfortune and the comments from the guy who raced with him pinning the mistake on the skater rather than the coach made me laugh just a bit.

    Hi Sven,

It is very unfortunate what happened . However, remember you don't necessarily need a medal to show how good you are. The world was looking on and they realized you would have won if it was not for the misunderstanding. I really think everyone competing in 2014 will have to watch out for you. When you got it! you got it!. Keep your chin up and remember you are a gold medalist.

I am very familiar w/speedskating and I know how much training, devotion and concentration there is in it. It is so precise. That coach has just got to be an idiot, I am sorry but, he is just an idiot. I am an American but, to see the face on Sven just made me sick. And, that fact that so man people are making coments about his actions... cmon, let's see you all get off the couch and get a beer by yourselves w/o having someone get it for you. Sven, my prayers are w/you.

That "stupid" conversation incident says it all about this guy's character..or lack there of.Karma doesn't usually come back and bite you in the @#$% this fast but..whoops..works for me!Hopefully it will take the arrogance down a notch. His behavior was incredibly stupid and out of proportion. You're never such a BIG guy that you can't be courteous.Tough lesson but I imagine it required something TOUGH to get through to him.

This shows speed-skating is a team sport; you work it as a team, you win as a team, you lose as a team. Sven & his coach together missed the turn. there is no need to tear tem apart individually. Just ask team canada how they lost against the U.S.A: It was a team loss. together as a team they'll work hard to recover and improve as a team. Nesbit's win is a team win. As in hockey, "individual sports" should be dishing out medals to the cach as well. As a Canadian, I can only believe we'll hear from this team at the next Speedskating event. our own team needs to prepare to meet Sven & his coach again. Eh Oh canada go!!

    Sven,
We are heartbroken for you. We are thinking of you and hoping you can let go, get past this, and set yourself free to be the best in all you do, including speed skating! I hope our paths cross someday----maybe on a frozen canal in Holland? That is one of the 100 things I (Michele) want to do before I die: to visit my father's homeland and skate on the frozen canals passing all the beautiful windmills. My great grandfather built the windmill in Naarden that is now preserved and open to the public as a museum. All the best to you in the future. John and Michele, United States

Sven, je reed als een dijker. Het was het eerste wat ik heb gezien van de Spelen 2010.
Voor mij ben je de winnaar van deze race. For what it is worth.
Balen man ongelofelijk.
Jouw reactie na de race, viel me nog mee, ik had volgens mij niet alleen mijn bril weggegooid.
Het interview vlak na de race, respect.
Reactie van Marts Smeets a la Mart, geen emoties, want ik ben reporter.....
    Bart Veltkamp is de man.
Hoewel ik Kemkers ook al het beste wens, want dit was zeker niet zijn bedoeling.
Suc6 met je volgende race en natuurlijk je revanche over 4 jaar.
    Carmen

Too bad, Sven...As far as I'm concerned you should have won gold, you deserved it...you're still the best and you worked so hard...better luck next time. Trust your instincts and not always your coach! and I'm proud to be Canadian!!

KARMA came and bit ole Sven in the skates! "Are YOU Stupid?" is a question that reporter can ask! Oh, Sven is better known NOW! But, like the old saying goes, "be nice to those around U on the way up...they are the same folks U will see on your way down!" Make amends Svenny! Thanks for the laugh!

I haven't seen the u-tube yet but now I THINK I WILL. As for the race I saw him going for the outside (right) side of the cone then all of a sudden it looked like he was redirected at the last second by someone that he had 100% trust in. In the end he should have trusted his instincts or have been zoned in on the final target (GOLD). He by far is and will be at the top of his sport for a long time, now even I KNOW HIS NAME. Congradulations Sven Kramer, things always happen for a reason, Good Luck!!!
