- Teichmann is a former overall World Cup winner and two-time world champion who is entering his first Olympics since 2002. He missed the Turin Games after struggling with an illness for much of the 2005-06 season and is looking for his first Olympic medal following a poor showing in Salt Lake City. The 30-year-old German has had a mediocre World Cup season by his standards, but should never be counted out in the big championships.
