Athlete Profile
- Returning to play in her second Olympics, Vaillancourt had two goals and four assists as Canada won the gold medal in 2006 at Turin. She had two goals and four assists during her first World Championship game in 2005 against Kazakhstan. That was the first of four straight appearances in the event in which she's brought home a gold and three silvers. Vaillancourt scored 114 goals in four seasons with Harvard from 2004-09, and was named a top-three finalist as a senior for the Patty Kazmaier Award given annually to the top NCAA women's hockey player.
