Athlete Profile
- Morrison joins Jeremy Wotherspoon as the top two Canadian medal hopefuls. He won silver in the team pursuit event at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin. He also finished 11th in the 1,500 meters and 19th in the 1,000 during his Olympic debut. Morrison won the 2008 world single distance championship titles in the 1,000 and 1,500, in which he set a world record of 1:42.01. Morrison won 11 medals during the 2007-08 World Cup season, including gold twice. In 2009, Morrison placed second in the 1,000 meters and third in the 1,500 at the Single Distances in March. He was seventh in the All-Around at the 2009 World Championships at Hamar, Norway.
