Athlete Profile
- Kreiner won silver in the parallel slalom and finished fourth in the parallel giant slalom at the 2007 World Championships, and though she slipped in the parallel slalom category of the same competition in 2009 - finishing seventh - she took home the gold medal in the PGS. That, however, was Kreiner's lone PGS win over the season and only the second of her career. Kreiner had finished on a World Cup podium seven times in her career but has only won once, an event in her native Austria in 2007. Despite winning the PGS world title in 2009 it seems unlikely that Kreiner will be able to repeat that feat in Vancouver, particularly with riders such as Amelie Kober and Doris Guenther standing in her way. Still, it would be premature to write her off as a medal contender.
