Kylie Palmer Biography

Palmer was a key member of Australia's gold medal-winning 4x200 relay team at the 2008 Olympics that set a world record. She swam the fastest leg to give the Aussies a 3.14 second advantage in overcoming swimming superpowers China and the United States. Palmer made her international debut at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, finishing fifth in the 400 freestyle. Her greatest achievement outside of the Olympics came at the 2008 world championships, where she won four medals - gold in the 200 and 400 free, silver in the 800 free and bronze in the 4x200 free relay. Palmer captured another gold in the 200 free at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
