Glenn Ochal Biography

Four years ago, Ochal and his Princeton teammates went to London and won the Ladies’ Challenge Plate in the Royal Henley Regatta. This summer, he will be going for gold in the four as he makes his Olympic debut. Ochal, who will team with Charlie Cole, Scott Gault and Henrik Rummel in London, started rowing in 2001. After competing for the Tigers’ heavyweight varsity eights from 2006-08 - he helped Princeton win the Ivy League and Eastern Sprint championships in 2006 - Ochal served as a Tigers assistant coach for two years before leaving to concentrate on the London Games. Ochal finished eighth in quadruple sculls at last year’s world championships and seventh in double sculls at the 2010 worlds. At the under-23 world rowing championships, Ochal took 16th in quadruple sculls in 2007 and 12th in 2005.
