Jamie Dwyer Biography
Dwyer is a two-time Olympian who won gold in Athens in 2004 and bronze in Beijing in '08. In 2011, he was named International Hockey Federation's male player of the year for the third straight time, and fifth time overall. Dwyer began playing field hockey at age four and made his debut on the senior Australian national team in 2001. Three years later _ and one year following a serious knee injury _ he scored the game-winning goal to give Australia the gold in Athens. More recently, he helped Australia win gold at the 2011 Champions Trophy and Oceania Cup.
