  • Cal also won a silver medal in Athens in the 500-meter solo canoe - this time finishing second to Dittmer.
  • Is the defending world champion in the 500-meter event, again beating Dittmer at the 2007 World Championships.
  • Cal also won a bronze medal in the 1,000-meter race at the World Championships in 2007, following silver-medal performances in the event in 2003 and 2005.
