Why is NBC/MSNBC not covering any of the equestrian events? Instead they are listed as being available only on Oxygen -- a network that is not accessible to everyone? Due to quarentine restrictions, the equestrian events are being held in Hong Kong -- 4 hours away from Beijing but surely NBC can get a camera to the site!! The dressage and jumping events are exquisite to watch...come on NBC...hook us up!!!!

Ah, hate to burst your bubble, but the equestrian events are over. The coverage on Oxygen, while limited to some viewers, was really quite good--almost 5 hrs. worth. They were also showing the dressage on USA channel for a few mornings.

Um, equestrian events are not over. Dressage is tonight, there is still jumping qualifications and jumping finals. Either that, or my online TV guide lied to me about Olympic events when I set it to record Oxygen the next few nights.
It does suck that it's limited to a minor channel - how about getting an agreement with whomever is filming those events to at least get it on CNBC or something.

I hope the women USA gymnasts win some medals, tonight. I'm still bitter over their results from two nights ago. That silly girl (sorry don't want to remember her name) costed the team their gold. She let her emotions affect two performances. Don't blame the judges. As a result, they had to settle for silver when the SHOULD have gotten the gold. I think they should not invite her to be on the 2012 Olympic team. Sorry.

It's awesome that we are breaking all these swimming records. Smashing them is more like it. It is obvious from the opening cerimonies that the Chineese want these olympics to be special, It would be interesting to find out if the pool is filled with demin water which is much lighter than say, city water. Specific water denseity solutions can affect outcomes. That is cool cause everyone is swimming in the same water but, is it really fair to other records that have been broken?.

So many cable channels. So little coverage of the "other" sports. Cycling, gymnastics, swinnig , diving and volleyball. A hundred different sports, we get to see five.

Why in the world would someone nickname their child "Nastia" when her last name was pronounced "lookin'"? (real name Anastasia)

Yeah some coverage is missing while you search for others.
Does anyone know where the music comes from during the beach volleyball games?
We were wondering who arranges the rock music for beach volleyball?

The two caps are for streamlining, and security. Women may not wear two, especially if they have a ponytail of some sort that will help keep the cap on but most them men don't have that ponytail to help them. The silicone caps that they probably are wearing on top, are often a little looser and a little more slick so they don't stay on as well, but they are less wrinkly, thus more streamlined. They under cap is probably a better fit, and helps keep the top cap in place, as well as the goggles and is probably usually latex, a little thinner material.

Hey guess what there is an EQUESTRIAN TEAM !!! Does ANYONE KNOW THAT??? Don't get me wrong I think Michael Phelps is Awsome and the Gymnastics equally so.BUT There alot of people out here, here in th world that are paying for all this stuff and we pay something like 60 Billion dollars a year on our horses and the events are very very interesting to us , horses are our lives and I think it is pathetic that you give more attention to rowing a boat, or playing WATER polo than you do the equestrian teams that not only work every bit as hard as athletes but they also have to train an animal to be just as much of an athlete and a team member. I am sick and tired already the same same same things every night. I cant wait for the olympics every time I love it but I'm really pissed this time.

boxing? watched a few rounds and the scoring is wrong way round. you get points for running away. it must be corrupted. only logic i see is chinese supposed to win, and if neither are chinese, let the weakest guy win, so chinese can get him in next set. silly. i used to amateur box, and enjoyed it , though of course it is challenging. sad to see the boxing at the olympics. wrong, wrong, wrong
