Fourth-Place Medal, a Yahoo! Sports blog covering the Summer Olympics in Beijing

After two rotations, China's Lilin Yang is in the lead for the women's gymnastics all-around. She took the lead on the strength of her bars routine that earned a 16.725. Nastia Liukin is in second by .375, trailed by the surprising Steliana Nistor from Romania, Kesenia Semenova from Russia and Shawn Johnson. Both Johnson and Liukin received surprisingly low scores on the vault and bars. The leaders now head to the balance beam and floor exercise.

the Judges must have been warned that they could not leave the country unless the Chinease wins all gold in Gymnastic; this is the only explanation for the scoring.

The score that Shaun was given was a joke when you compare it to the score of the Chinese girl on the balance beam. It is BALANCE beam isn't it????????

The previous forum posters are mostly racist. How much you know about sports? Just because she is a tiny Chinese girl doesn't mean she doesn't deserve to win. All the judges are from different countries and not from China. The score are all based on personal skill, not based on race. So all you racist out there, don't make us the Americans look stupid. Be fair, be graceful. If the Chinese girls win, they win with their skill level. If the American lost, it's because our American atheletes made too many mistakes; Shawn Johnson just didn't perform the best she could and made too many tiny mistakes; and is obviously not on the same level as the Chinese.
