Athlete Profile
- Two-time Olympian, finished fourth on the 2004 squad with 70 points and tied for fourth with 16 blocks.
- Was the third-leading scorer at the 2007 NORCECA Continental Championships, totaling 45 points in five matches in helping the U.S. win a gold medal.
- Also was the second-leading blocker as the U.S. won the gold at the Americas' Cup and was second among all blockers in World League pool play with 36 in 89 attempts.
- Was co-coach of the BYU team in 2006 following the sudden resignation of Tom Peterson but returned to the national team and withdrew his name from coaching consideration.
- Did not play with the U.S. in 2001, instead playing professionally in Italy.
- Was named Best Blocker at the 2005 FIVB World Grand Championships as the U.S. won the silver medal.
- One of only five players to be selected first-team AVCA All-American three times and led BYU to the NCAA tournament title in 1999.
