- Was 2005 and 2006 USA Taekwondo Female Athlete of the Year.
- Was alternate on 2004 Olympic team.
- Won gold at Junior Nationals 11 years in a row from 1991-2001.
- Has three older brothers who have had successful taekwondo careers: Jean won a silver medal at the 1995 World Championships; Steven is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and four-time world champion; Mark has won three World Championship medals, including a gold in 2005.
- Diana, along with Steven and Mark, became the first three siblings in any sport to win World Championship titles in the same event when they did so in 2005 at the World Taekwondo Championships in Madrid, Spain. They were coached by Jean.
