  • Member of Australian gold medal-winning 4 x 100m freestyle relay team in 2004 Olympics.
  • Won bronze at 2004 Olympics in 50m freestyle.
  • Currently holds world records in the 200m free, 100m free, 100m butterfly and 50m free.
  • Is the only woman in the history of swimming to have a time under 53 seconds for the 100m freestyle event and under 24 seconds for the 50m freestyle event.
  • Swam the 100m freestyle in 52.93 seconds at the 2007 Duel in the Pool, becoming the first woman to break the 53-second barrier. She bettered that time at the Australian trials, swimming a 52.88 to set the world record.
