OXFORD, Miss. -- No. 12 Ole Miss (15-3) edged Auburn 2-1 to win its Southeastern Conference opener on Friday night. Bobby Wahl, Dylan Chavez and Brett Huber combined to limit the Tigers (10-8) to the one run on seven hits. Zach Kirksey and Will Allen had the Rebels' RBI.

ELSEWHERE IN THE SEC
No. 3 South Carolina (15-2) at Kentucky (19-0)
The Wildcats trailed by three runs entering the seventh, but a two-run walkoff home run kept Kentucky's record perfect on the year with a 4-3 victory over the two-time defending national champions. If the Wildcats find one more win this weekend, their profile will jump significantly.
Tennessee (10-7) at No. 18 Georgia (14-5)
Georgia put up four runs in the first four innings and weathered a one-hour lightning delay in the fifth inning to beat Tennessee, 4-0. UGA ace Alex Wood didn't return after the delay and picked up a no-decision.
Vanderbilt (7-11) at No. 1 Florida (17-1)
The No. 1 Gators used a five-run fifth and a four-run seventh to keep rolling and keep Vandy struggling with a 10-2 victory. UF's Hudson Randall allowed two runs in 6.2 innings.
Alabama (8-10) at No. 4 Arkansas (17-2)
Alabama pitcher Adam Windsor walked the bases loaded and then walked in the winning run to give Arkansas a 4-3 victory in 12 innings. Arkansas ace DJ Baxendale allowed one run in 5.1 innings.
No. 21 Miss. State (14-6) at No. 13 LSU (15-3)
MSU's Chris Stratton struck out 17 in 8.2 innings and threw 137 pitches (98 strikes), but LSU put up two in the 10th to beat the Bulldogs, 3-2. After MSU catcher Mitch Slauter hit a solo home run in the 10th, Grant Dozar had an RBI double and Mississippi native JaCoby Jones singled in the winning run.
