Awards galore for Weeden

Oklahoma State senior quarterback Brandon Weeden is racking up weekly awards following his record-breaking performance in OSU's huge comeback at Texas A&M.

The first came early Sunday morning right here on rivals.com, when Weeden was named National Player of the Week.

He was also the Walter Camp national player of the week and the Big 12 Conference offensive player of the week. He has also been nominated for the Capital One Cup Impact Performance of the Week and for the second time this season he has been designated as a Manning Award star of the week.

Weeden's Big 12 award is the third of his career and the first this season.

The award avalanche comes after Weeden set OSU marks for completions (47), attempts (60) and passing yards (438) in rallying the Cowboys back from a 20-3 halftime deficit in College Station against the 8th-ranked Aggies. Weeden also had two touchdown passes and no interceptions in the game.

Weeden enters OSU's first open week of the season leading the nation in passing yards per game (398.0) and total passing yards (1,592). He is second nationally in total offense (380.75 per game).
