Ohio State freshman Omari Abor has black stripe removed

It’s late in the season for this, but another Ohio State freshman has lost his black stripe. Omari Abor was officially welcomed to the brotherhood today as his black stripe was removed.

Abor was a highly touted edge rusher coming to OSU in the 2021 recruiting cycle. He was ranked as a top 100 player and the No. 6 edge rusher in the class according to 247Sports composite rankings.

Abor was able to see action in one game this season against Arkansas State before injuring his knee and sidelining the young man for the remainder of the season. The Duncanville, Texas native has worked hard to rehab the injury and get back on the field.

The newest member of the rushmen thanked his teammates and coaches after finding out about the honor. Check out the post from the Ohio State football Twitter account below.

The Buckeyes are currently preparing to take on the defending National Champion Georgia Bulldogs in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 31 in Atlanta.
