Does Flyers goaltender Ray Emery have a torn labrum in his left hip? And if so, can he play the remainder of the season with it?

Or is he simply experiencing tightness associated with the December abdominal surgery that kept him out of the lineup for five weeks?

Emery underwent an MRI on Monday, but Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said before his team's game against the Devils that he had not yet received the results.

"He skated (Sunday) and felt real good after that," Holmgren said. "He took it easy (Monday) and is going to push it hard (Tuesday) with the idea that he'll be ready to play Wednesday."

The Flyers will visit the Devils on Wednesday for the second end of a home-and-home set.

Holmgren seemed hopeful Emery will be able to play...
